Rajasthan News

Affordable SUVs are making their mark in the Indian automotive market, often competing with hatchbacks in terms of pricing. Numerous impressive models are available in the budget of 6-7 lakh rupees. Recently, a feature-packed SUV has entered this price range, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious buyers. Here, we’ll provide you with all the details about this SUV.

Among the vehicles available in this price bracket are the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter. However, one SUV stands out as the best-selling model in India, earning significant consumer trust. With a refreshed bumper design and stylish LED headlights and taillights, this SUV boasts a premium appearance that enhances its appeal.

The latest addition to this segment is the 2024 Nissan Magnite, recently launched by the Japanese automaker. Its introductory price ranges from ₹5.99 lakh to ₹11.50 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). This marks the Magnite’s first major update since its debut in 2020.

The 2024 Magnite retains the same engine options as its predecessor, featuring a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine. The naturally aspirated variant delivers 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque, while the turbocharged version offers 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque.

Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT, and a CVT. The Magnite boasts impressive fuel efficiency, achieving approximately 20 km/l. Although its exterior retains much of the original design, minor tweaks provide a fresh look. The LED headlamps and boomerang-shaped DRLs remain, while the grille has been made slightly larger and features new design elements. The iconic C-shaped chrome accents are now surrounded by a glossy black frame, enhancing the vehicle’s front profile. Additionally, new alloy wheels add to its visual appeal.

The Nissan Magnite is equipped with an array of modern features, including an 8-inch touchscreen digital instrument cluster with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push-button start/stop, a premium JBL sound system, a wireless smartphone charger, cruise control, a 7-inch TFT drive assist display, a 360-degree view camera, puddle lamps, and ambient lighting.

Safety is a top priority for the Nissan Magnite, which comes with over 40 safety features. These include a reverse parking sensor camera, ABS with EBD, dynamic stability control, hill hold assist, vehicle dynamic control, traction control system, and dual airbags.

With No Steering Or Pedals, Tesla’s Robotaxi Will Autonomously Determine Its Route, And That’s Reflected In Its Pricing

New Delhi – After much anticipation, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has officially launched the company’s first robotaxi, named the Cybercab. This fully electric vehicle was unveiled at an event held at Warner Bros Studio in Los Angeles. Musk announced that production for the Cybercab will commence in 2026, with a projected price of under $30,000 (approximately ₹25 lakh).

Tesla enthusiasts eagerly awaited this announcement, as the program had faced delays. The live stream of the event attracted around 3.3 million viewers on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

What is the Cybercab?

The Cybercab is designed to accommodate just two passengers. It features no pedals or steering wheel, making it a completely autonomous vehicle, and both doors open upwards like butterfly wings. During the launch, Musk emphasized that autonomous vehicles could be 10 to 20 times safer than those driven by humans and significantly more cost-effective. He estimated that operating an autonomous vehicle would cost around $0.20 per mile, compared to $1 per mile for city buses.

Why is Tesla developing the Cybercab?

Automation is a fundamental aspect of Elon Musk’s vision. He has long promised to deliver fully automated, driverless cars to the market. With the Cybercab, Tesla aims to advance this vision further by offering a taxi service through its own ride-hailing app. Musk has been discussing the ride-hailing business since 2019, but progress has been slow.

According to a TechCrunch report, Musk also plans to allow Tesla owners to rent out their vehicles via ride-hailing apps, with the company taking a commission of about 25-30%.
